Best Practice Health Education is offering a unique Non-Emergency Patient Transport (NEPT) Bridging Course to registered Division 1 Nurses, designed to enhance your current skillset. We’ll provide you with industry-specific training that enables you to work in the dynamic field of NEPT. This course has been developed in partnership with Health Select Services, an industry leader in the provision of NEPT services.
The bridging course gives you advanced training in non-emergency ambulance operation, via vehicle and equipment familiarisation and orientation. The course also includes training in Advanced Resuscitation, safe manual handling of a stretcher, and driving a non-emergency ambulance. Additionally, you will be given an insight into the workings of a Communications Centre, and the pivotal roll that they have in ensuring optimal business efficiency.
The theoretical and practical components of the course will be delivered over two and a half days. You will be required to undertake two observer shifts to successfully complete the course.
All Best Practice trainers currently work with Health Select Services, and have backgrounds in paramedics, and clinical and general nursing.
Training is delivered at one of our corporate centres, located in Vermont and Kensington.
Observer shifts can be scheduled around your availability, as Health Select provide services 365 days of the year, 24 hours a day.
