The Department of Health and Human Services have recently revised the scope of practice for EN’s working in the Non-Emergency Patient Transport Industry!

  • HLAMB008 Assess and Deliver Standard Clinical Care (160 placement hours provided)

  • HLTAID007 Provide Advanced Resuscitation

Upon course completion you will have nationally accredited units of competency, enabling you to seek employment in the exciting and growing NEPT industry.

During unit assessment you will be required to drive our non-emergency ambulance. Our vehicles have automatic transmissions, and you will be under the guidance and supervision of our Best Practice NEPT trainers.

Delivery and Assessment Mode

The course will be delivered via a blended mode of eLearning, practical applications, role-play scenarios and written assessments.

During the course you will be provided with the opportunity to undertake 1 observer shift with a Health Select crew. This will provide you with the opportunity to experience firsthand the NEPT industry.

Our Educators and Trainers

All trainers employed by Best Practice Health Education hold current relevant Certificate IV Training and assessment qualifications along with industry experience. When trainers aren’t in the classroom they are working within the NEPT industry.

Duration

The course will be delivered over 8 days face to face with a number of hours spend completing assessments outside of the classroom.

The final face to face session will involve a practical simulation assessment to ensure that the new skills you have learnt are of a competent level.

Cost

Course cost is $2500, initial payment of $1000.00 is due on enrollment with the remaining balance to be paid by the completion of the course.
